RACHEL COX, MFT - BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
I have served as the Chief Financial Administrator for a respected, well-established Bay Area residential construction company since 1989, and continued to work in the construction industry while getting my Master's degree in counseling and my license as an MFT. Through these experiences and the training I've received, I've become aware of how important the homeowner-contractor relationship is to the success of a remodeling project and I've seen how neglected and unsupported this relationship is both in the construction and mental health industries. I also noticed that the success of a renovation project hinged not only on the solidity of the homeowner-contractor relationship but on the relationship of the couple as well. I saw how often a seemingly solid marriage or partnership was negatively impacted by the stresses of a home renovation project. Again, I found there was no support for a marriage attempting to navigate the squalls and choppy waters of a home renovation. Because I found little to no training or counseling available to strengthen these pivotal relationships and address the issues and disputes that arise during home improvement projects, I founded Solutions Counseling for Home Remodeling. I take great pleasure and pride in the work I do, and find few things as gratifying as applying my experience in residential construction, communication training, and relationship-building skills to help couples navigate the turmoils of home renovation and remodeling projects and realize the home of their dreams for themselves and their families. You can turn your remodeling project from a nightmare into a creative, rewarding, and fun process. Make your dreams come true! When time means both money and marital peace of mind, please don't hesitate to contact me for more information or to schedule an appointment, 650-462-5919 or coxbr@aol.com. |
